Simple SEO For Videos

SEO for videos is a simple yet effective technique. I would even go as far as to say it is essential. So how do you SEO videos? Just follow this simple criteria when uploading your video to video sharing sites across the web.
STEP 1: You want to make sure that your title has your keyword in it. Make it catchy and something people will want to view, but most importantly, to seo videos, you want to make certain the keyword you have targeted is in your title.
STEP 2: When applying seo for videos, make sure the description of your video is KEYWORD RICH! Put your main keyword as well as your other keywords in the description. Now, this has nothing to do with the seo for videos, but I just need to add, that you want to make sure and put the link you are directing people to at the top of the description box. So link first, then followed by a keyword rich description.
STEP 3: Don’t forget your tags! When wanting to give your videos the best seo, make sure to put your keywords into the tags.
STEP 4: To really add an extra punch to your seo for videos, write a blog post or article to go along with your video. For example, after you upload your video to, say, YouTube, post it on your blog with a KEYWORD RICH post underneath it to make it even more relevant to the keywords you are targeting. Just as I have done in this post here.
Beyond SEO For Videos
One thing to remember is to make sure your video is relevant. You want your video to be relevant to the keyword you are targeting. If you are targeting certain keywords when you seo your video, whoever clicks on it to watch is going to expect your video to be about what you have described in the description. If it’s not, why would they trust you to click on your link. So it is important to make sure your video is relevant.
You also want to make your video short and to the point, no more than 3 minutes.
Also, right out of the gate, make sure to let your viewers know what your video is going to be about. Tell them why they want or need to watch it. You only have a few seconds to let them know this before they click away.
And lastly, on your blog, you can add a video sitemap to help Google to index your videos. This is easily done with a plugin and a good step to take when optimizing seo for videos.
