How to Effectively Market on Twitter

I have blogged about Twitter and using it as a tool for attraction marketing but a lot of people are still confused on how to use it as a tool to effectively market on Twitter. With its 190 million registered users, it provides you with an infinite number of leads that is very useful if you are an attraction marketer. This blog post is based on my observation of trending Twitter users who have a lot of followers and, in fact. get a lot of leads through their posts without them having to directly tweet all the time about a lame sales pitch.
The key is being attractive to Twitter users and getting a lot of followers because you either attract their curiosity, humor, or interest. Getting a lot of followers even if you didn’t follow them back makes you a very effective attraction marketer when you market on Twitter, which is your goal.
When You Market on Twitter the Right Way, You Can Get Followed Without Following First.
To market on Twitter the right way, let’s look at some methods those succeeding at it are doing. Using these methods, some users were able to get millions of followers. They are also attraction marketers and they were really effective. Some have thousands of followers but are only following a few hundred people. How did they do it?
- Quotes – Quotes about love, life, inspiration, quotes from famous people, random quotes. They always get noticed by a lot of people and never fail to get retweeted. And most likely, if a person following someone who has retweeted you sees this, they will also follow you back.
- Set a trend #trend – Trends in Twitter are tricky to do. Usually you put a # plus trend topic and your followers will do the same.
- Communicate with Twitter users – Communicating with other Twitter users is also a good way to catch the attention of your followers. It encourages them to either, 1) join in on the topic or retweet your replies if it’s interesting.
- Join trends – Joining trends is also a good way to catch the attention of Twitter users. They will follow you if they check the trend and find your reply is informative.
- Facts (world, random, celebrity) – Twitter is the only social media network that people join to know about a lot of facts.
- News (world, local)
- Cartoon names – This is actually one of the most effective way to Twitter marketing. You might observe Jack Sparrow, Cinderella, Peter Griffy, and other famous fictional characters have Twitter accounts and they post funny and interesting quotes. It catches attention of people and they get a lot of followers because of this technique.
You can choose these methods or you can make you own when you market on Twitter. Either way, the goal is to attract followers and leads instead of you going to them, following them one by one hoping to get followed back. Another way to market on Twitter to get good leads is, every now and then post your link in your Twitter posts. You can do this to get more traffic to your blog, your Facebook, or YouTube accounts. Start following some of these simple steps to be on your way to effectively market on Twitter.
